Sodium
Titanate

Sodium titanate is used in industry, in the manufacture of ceramics. It is a linking material among the different constituents in a ceramic mix. Nowadays it is widely used in the manufacture of covered welding rods used in SHIELDED METAL ARC WELDING (SMAW) as one of the components in the formulation of the electrode covering.

Sodium titanate helps to stabilize the arc and it provides definite properties to slag viscosity. As a result, weld beads have a better look.
